The Communications department is looking for an intern to work in the Oakland office. The communications team includes website maintenance, press and media and marketing components.  

Responsibilities:
The intern will assist with various projects and tasks ranging from managing press hits, researching data to support media efforts and helping the web team with online development (knowledge of HTML is not required). We encourage and assist interns to seek opportunities based on their skills and interests. We also work closely with our Washington D.C. office and interns may receive projects from D.C. staff. The internship offers extensive exposure to the operations of the nonprofit, legal community and environmental work.

Qualifications:
This position is available to both students and non-students. Although we are flexible and can work with your schedule, applicants should be able to commit a minimum 15 hours per week. A small stipend is given for summer interns and college credit during the spring and fall. We are located ½ block from the 19th Street BART station in downtown Oakland.
