It's difficult to overstate the beauty of the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park. Visitors to the Northeast section of the park enjoy clean mountain air, abundant wildlife, and a stunning valley carved by glacial erosion and the Lamar River. The valley supports wolves and grizzly bears, and provides winter range for elk and bison herds.

Protecting our natural heritage has always been part of Earthjustice's mission. An August 2003 court settlement that compels the Environmental Protection Agency to protect the air in National Parks and wilderness areas from air pollution and view-obscuring haze ensures the crisp views in the Lamar Valley will be protected for future generations.
