More Ways To Give
William O. Douglas Society
Carry on the vision of one of America's judicial and environmental pioneers, US Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas.
Join The William O. Douglas Society Today!
The William O. Douglas Society honors the legacy of Justice William Orville Douglas, who served on the U.S. Supreme Court from 1939 to 1975. Fusing his exceptional passion for the environment with his legal authority, Justice Douglas laid the groundwork for the right of individuals to sue on behalf of our natural world.
Members of the William O. Douglas Society, through their annual contributions of $1000 or more, help carry on Justice Douglas’s vision by strengthening the ability of Earthjustice to engage in critical court cases to safeguard our natural heritage.
In gratitude for their remarkable support, Society members receive the following benefits:
- Invitations to join President Trip Van Noppen and other program staff in telephone briefings about critical developments in our work
- Our "Insider's Reports" -- exclusive updates on Earthjustice cases and other current issues
- Recognition in Earthjustice’s Annual Report
- A copy of Justice On Earth, a beautiful, 224 page, full-color hardcover book by Earthjustice Senior Editor Tom Turner featuring stories and images of our work throughout the country
- Invitations to visit special places Earthjustice is working to protect
We invite you to join the William O. Douglas Society and become a part of our special group of supporters who honor and continue the legacy of Justice Douglas. As a member, you will benefit from knowing that your commitment to our precious earth and its irreplaceable resources is making a difference to all that call it home.
