False Killer Whales

In Brief: False killer whales -- an extremely rare species that lives in waters near Hawai`i -- fall victim to long-line fishing operations. A lawsuit recently succeeded in having the whales reclassified by the National Marine Fisheries Service, a step on the way to their being protected.
